Kat Caputo is an author and visual artist. She is the author of the Detective Julia Venza and Ginger Series. The upcoming books in the series are A SLIVER IN THE DARK followed by CRY IN THE NIGHT. Kat is currently working on A TWISTED WAY set at a bayside college featuring equity investigator, Vann Finnelli.
Kat earned an MFA in Studio Arts and an MA in Art Education from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her artwork is about the human experience: the fragility of life; what is revealed versus what is kept hidden; and the physical versus the psychological. Her visual work explores the impact of trauma, collective empathy, sisterhood, and authenticity. Her mystery suspense novels are reflections of these concepts.
